Classic Kawai S-1

I bought the guitar or reverb and I want to return it, if someone picks it up or buys it first nicer to me. Some people call this the “S-70” but I have never seen hard evidence (=original catalogue pages), but a catalogue page calling it the S-1 (which figures as it only has one pickup – the 2 pickup model is the S-2). The S-1 features a metal pickguard and one singlecoil pickup, a short scale (600mm) and very nimble, light weight profile. The guitar has been fully restored to excellent playability. I am selling this specimen cheaper than I would because it had a crack in the headstock (see pic) which has been repaired, and also a repair area next to the neck pocket. It is completely stably playable and enjoyable though. -Scale: 600 mm -Nut: ca 4,2 cm -Weight: 2,6 kg -Pickups: one singlecoil, measuring about 3k, low output, a tad microphonic, controlled with volume and tone pots. -Body: some unknown yet solid wood. -Neck: bolt-on, very thick U-shape, no accessible trussrod, small vintage frets, very flat radius, rosewood fingerboard. Condition: -Body: Rocket condition with lots of dings and dongs and lacquer damages. A partly broken area next to the neck pocket has been glued previously. -Neck: neck is straight. The frets are in quite good condition, would rate them 8/10, no crevasses. Playing it I encountered no buzz or deadspots. The strings are not well aligned with the neck (see pic) which is original and due to the bridge base too big to be aligned properly next to the pickguard. -Hardware: in good shape and functional, yet traces of corrosion are visible on tailpiece and pickguard, and especially on the tuners. -Electrics: everything works as it should (note that the pots are old) -Originality: the guitar is all original except for maybe some screws Sound and Playability: -Playability and string action: very decent playability, string action dialed in at 2 mm on the 12th fret. -Sound: please listen to the video – the pickup has have a low output and is a bit microphonic, as you can hear. The model played is a near identical other specimen Repairs, Service: As always, the instrument has been serviced completely and is ready to be played immediately. -Completely cleaned and set up -Frets polished and fretboard cleaned and oiled -New set of Pyramid 10 gauge strings put on -Ready to be played (just tune it up); Auxiliary stuff: -no case or bag included. The item will be wrapped well, and put into a sturdy cardboard box with lots of filler material.
