Anatolian Kelimmatta

Selling our 70+ year old (Mid 20th century) antique Anatolian kelimmatta. This type at this age is generally not produced commercially and so is this, it was hand woven by two families separately as a marriage gift for their kids. The middle part gets sewn while (or around the time) the wedding takes place symbolizing the unification of two families. Thus the two parts not looking exactly the same. It’s from the Konya region, made of wool and the type/method is called jijim (cicim). It is in very good condition.
