Iittala Seseli

The Aarre wall jewels collection is a tribute to the grand old master of Finnish glass, professor Oiva Toikka. His beloved Birds by Toikka collection, and one-of-a kind career in glass art, inspired designers to create a concept for the glass art collection. All designers selected a theme they wanted to work with; Toikka mentored the designers throughout the process and challenged their imagination along the way. The pieces come to life in the hands of the highly skilled Iittala factory glass blowers. The collection showcases the glass-art expertise for which Iittala is so famous for. This first Aarre collection is designed by renowned Finnish designers with whom Iittala has collaborated for a long time: Markku Salo, Anu Penttinen and Aalto+Aalto. Storage doesn't have to hide your artifacts; with iittala Aarre Wall Jewels, you can display them with art itself. The eclectic yet cohesive collection is the result of collaborations between Professor Oiva Toikka and other talented designers. Elina Aalto and Klaus Aalto explored flora for their jewels and fittingly named this one Seseli, a genus of clustered perennial plants. Each piece is mouth-blown at the same Finnish factory as Toikka's famous birds. This allows for variation in color and shape, making each jewel a unique piece of art to truly treasure.
