Akka är byggd på -70 talet då man inte snålade på plasten. Hon klarar därför krock med både valar och flytande gods, samt även måttlig grundstötning. 
Kosterrodret gör att båten inte brochar dvs förlorar styrförmågan vid stor krängning och roderutslag samt att rodret sitter mindre utsatt för slag från ex späckhuggare. Även propellern sitter bra skyddad från nät och linor framför rodret.
Litet djupgående (1,55 m ) Hon är en rolig båt att segla som man inte behöver ha några bekymmer för. Hon är dessutom en fantastisk sjöbåt, kursstabil och seglar tämligen torrt och framförallt tyst, dvs inget knirk och dunk.

Väl använd First 40.7 som absolut har en del bomärken och skav, men på köpet får man en seglingsupplevelse av rang, 2,40m köl, mängder med segel. Ja, den har både kappseglats och hyrts ut i sitt tidigare liv, men klarat sig från större missöden. Besiktigad på land och inga skador från grundstötningar. Bälgen bytt 2020 och drevet servat samtidigt.
Bra uppdaterad gällande instrument och vid navigationsplatsen finns följande; Plotter a9 VHF Ray 60, transponder och splitter.
Vid rorsmansplats återfinns en plotter modell e127, P70 Autopilot, och på skott om sb i70x2 instrument. På masten finns vind, vhf, tricolor plus ankarlanterna, samt topp och däcksbelysning från Hella.
Dessutom en 18"radar HD samt EPIRB som programmeras med MMSI nr.
Nätverket är genomgående Raymarine NG, och Autopiloten har en linjär drivenehet (200). 
GPS, Gyro samt Fluxgate kompass.
