Umag is a city on Croatia’s Istrian peninsula. Umag is known for its numerous crystal blue beaches along its long coastline. Umag was an island once, with the Umag settlement established at the end of the port of Umag. The town walls were built in the 10th century and have been partially preserved next to the Town Museum. Umag also offers top-notch Mediterranean cuisine, gorgeous beaches and sports activities galore – it's especially known for the annual Croatia Open Umag, the country's oldest and most famous tennis tournament.
